How To Change Windows Boot Logo Using HackBGRT

Windows 10 allows you to change the login screen (sign-in screen) and lock screen background image to a custom picture. However, before this, there was no way to change the UEFI boot logo on Windows 10.

As said earlier, the UEFI boot logo is stored in the UEFI firmware which is very hard to change permanently. HackBGRT overwrites this image during each boot to display your custom Windows 10 boot logo.

Your Windows 10 PC might become unbootable if anything goes wrong while changing the boot logo. So, try this only if you know what you are doing. Before running the tool, we recommend you create a system restore point or create a full image backup of your Windows 10 installation just to be safe.

The boot logo of HP which you used to see was part of a customization which HP has done when installing Windows before for your PC. If you have reinstalled Windows and if you used a "vanialla" clean Windows installation , then this modification is gone.

I have a p8p67 LE motherboard. I want to disable secure boot so i can use HackBGRT to change my logo while booting. I already have windows 10 installed. HackBGRT requires you to have secure boot off. Secure boot is not showing in any of the sections of the BIOS. It should show it in the boot section.

No. IT's impossible to change that logo for normal users. MS has GONE OUT OF IT's WAY to FORCE USERS to HAVE A MONOCHROME LOGO ON A BLACK BACKGROUND. They hardcoded the logo deep within the bootres.dll file and hardcoded the background color EXTREMELLY DEEP within MULTIPLE UNRELATED SYSTEM FILES and locked the whole bunch with PROPIETARY SIGNATURES to ensure no one customizes that. And THEY PUT RECODED VERSIONS OF THOSE FILES IN MOST OF THE UPDATES that you get through windows update, as an extra measure to undo and thwart any customization done to that part of the OS.

From the second picture, the "branding elements" is the picture from the BGRT. The black background is not set by the OEM, it is the color that the OS uses at that point. OEMs are not allowed to modify the OS to make that color something different.
